Current Need
We are searching for a Director Software Engineering to join our team.
Position Description

• Design, implementation and production support of our Patient Services platform.
• Plans, coordinates, supervises all activities related to the design, development, implementation of the organization's applications development and analysis function.
• Manages multiple development teams supporting different products or lines of businesses.
• Directs and guides the managers, reviews different project requests, timeline and cost.
• Develops, distributes, supports, enforces, and integrates best practices and technology standards across the organization.
• Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function.
• Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets, policies, procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise wide software applications for large corporations.
• Ability to interface with internal and external customers at the executive level.
Minimum Requirements
Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience
Critical Skills
• 5+ years of experience with Microservices, Cloud Architecture, DevOps, SRE, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Nodejs, AngularJs, MVC frameworks like Spring and JSF
• 10+ years of experience as a Hands-On technical leader working across a mix of consumer, enterprise, and internal tools.
• Solid understanding of Computer Science concepts and modern software architecture and development principles
• Knowledge and experience with SalesForce.com or similar CRM technologies.
• Recognized expert in multiple technological areas or disciplines.
• Agile software development knowledge and experience. (i.e. Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Strong knowledge and experience with Agile Best Practices / Scrum methodologies
• Deep understanding of all phases of the SDLC, with hands on experience in multiple development languages
• Solid business and financial acumen. Responsibility for large budget with demonstration of on-time delivery, on budget, per promised scope, and meeting or exceeding quality expectations.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
• Advanced knowledge of industry trends & new technologies (i.e. machine learning, cloud computing, mobile applications development, internet of things)
• Proven experience delivering enterprise wide software applications for large corporations.
• Ability to interface with internal and external customers at the executive level.
• Prior experience working in Healthcare is a plus

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
