This is an individual contributor role in the global Finance space requiring a unique set of skills and experience in technical ERP project delivery and Accounting and Finance systems and processes. The ERP Delivery Lead will have two primary roles which require strong technical skills as well as significant experience and understanding of accounting and financial processes and systems. This role serves as the technical lead for delivery of system enhancements initiated from the Finance business leaders. This role also collaborates with Finance and Technical leadership to assess, evaluate and document finance proposed initiatives. This position will lead appropriate business cases through Enterprise Portfolio planning. Using your significant experience and knowledge of accounting and financial systems you’ll need to win the confidence of our business and technical partners to build strong relationships across multiple Finance and Accounting business teams and supporting technical teams.
This position reports to the Sr. Director SAP Finance.
Las Colinas is preferred. Will consider other MT or Business Unit Hubs for internal candidates.
o Collaborates with Development leaders and Project Managers to define project scope, deliverables and timelines.
o Uses technical expertise in concert with McKesson Technology Development leaders to define technical requirements of projects.
o Understands cross team dependencies (including development and infrastructure teams) and ensures proper prioritization across teams
o Works with business and technical leaders to drive delivery of project deliverables.
o Evaluates, communicates and, where necessary, escalates technical risks.
o Understands the ERP landscape both in terms of business road map and architectural runway.
o Builds and maintains strong relationships with a variety of finance leaders that rely on the 2 existing SAP environments.
o Leads Global Finance team in delivering high quality business cases/ Portfolio Intake submissions, including risks, cost of delay, operational and financial benefits and timelines.
o Works with Solution Architects, Development Leaders and other Portfolio Leaders as needed across Scrum Teams, Solutions and Capabilities to understand designs and associated cost estimates for business cases.
o Collaborates with MT Finance, FP&A, Technical Accounting and Accounting Center of Excellence that proper accounting treatment (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is applied to business cases.
o Ensure that Portfolio Planning tools are properly setup and aligned for accurate reporting.
o Demonstrates professional decorum and discretion required with confidential topics
Typically requires 10 years relevant experience
o 10+ years of experience of professional experience in related IT field
o 4+ years of experience in leadership, planning and communication roles
o Multiple life cycle implementations or key experience with upgrades of large ERP platforms.
o Expert level understanding of financial and accounting policies and processes
o Good knowledge of application and infrastructure and security control mechanisms
o Previous experience creating business cases for technology-based initiatives
o Previous experience with Portfolio management tools, preferably JIRA
o Previous experience delivering high-quality, reliable technology services
