The Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI) organization provides global operations support to Citi businesses in the areas of Data Center, Mainframe, Distributed Systems, Cloud Solutions, Network, Client Computing, Site Support and Telecommunication systems. The CTI Project and Program Management team (PPM) provides services across Citi Technology Infrastructure to ensure business technology projects are executed successfully, meet business requirements, and are delivered on-time and on-budget.

The successful candidate could be responsible for delivering projects in one or more of the following areas: risk and control, change management, end-user product rollouts, infrastructure implementations, office location strategies and various cloud migrations.

The role is governed by global project management, following CTI’s internal project management methodology and has standard tools and processes to follow with support and oversight provided by the Project Office and helpdesk functions.

Specific Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to improve wider CTI services and time to market
  • Ensure critical projects are assigned within =< 20 business days
  • Ensure all projects are properly funded and approved
  • Achieve on time delivery of => 96% of critical project portfolio (client commitments).  Follow-up with project team as required – will be aligned with risk appetite goal
  • Enable and facilitate Book of Work prioritization with partners
  • Improve Client Experience with => 4.6 project manager satisfaction score; follow-up with stakeholders as required.  Achieve ICG/GCG/CTO Service Delivery project satisfaction score of => 4.0
  • Ensure all projects are properly funded and approved

  • On time delivery of Projects measured by PMO reporting – critical project at 96% and remainder Book of Work at 90%- - might change based on risk appetite
    • Accurately identify critical client commitments on projects
    • Escalate any risk of critical client commitment slippage to the CTI Portfolio Manager
    • Assess impacts of requested changes to the cost, resource needs and timeline of the project. Solicit and receive appropriate stakeholder and portfolio manager approval for changes
  • Accurate, comprehensive Project/Program documentation current with project/program lifecycle phase per standards, project plans and progress communicated to project team, measured by portfolio manager feedback
  • Champions a culture of high standards, pushes for progress, embraces change and challenges the status quo in support of Citi’s vision and global strategy
  • Examine risk, issue, & communication project portfolio management processes for improvement opportunities and standardize where appropriate
  • Produce Demand Management Forecasts.  Measured by the completion of three elements: 1) Produce quarterly view for each sector 2) elaborate planning with stakeholders and 3) enable resource decision making to support future project volumes
  • Leverage capabilities to drive continual improvements to CTI processes and services -- develop and implement at least one Portfolio process improvement
  • Enhance existing project management capabilities framework to address Portfolio specific needs.  Implement capabilities development programs that mature project delivery
  • Integrate Agile Project Management Methodology into the Book of Work where appropriate
  • Provide mentoring or identify mentoring opportunities for key talent within portfolio and project management from within PPM or externally.
  • Ensure talent has a stretch assignment identified in Workday
  • Conduct PM Capabilities review at a minimum of once per year.  Identify PM Development to improve competencies.
  • Consider diverse candidate slates for all open positions
  • Retain high performing employees and take action on under-performers
  • Continue self-development through attending relevant executive level communication, leadership and coaching training

Education/ Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 10 years of successfully managing and delivering projects in the aforementioned domains – Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields(or equivalent work experience: Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Mathematics, or Analytical / Tech Management – Required
  • PMP Certification in Project Management – Preferred
  • Scrum Master or relevant Agile Certification – Preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt – Preferred
  • Microsoft Excel Proficiency (V Look-Up, Pivot Tables, Microsoft VBA) – Preferred
  • Proficiency in tools such as MS project, ServiceNow, PlanView, Jira, and SharePoint – Preferred
  • Experience with AWS and/or GCP architecture – Preferred
