In this role, we will look to you to apply advanced subject matter knowledge and understanding to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently collaboratively contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. You will have the opportunity to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise and guidance to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring, guidance and support to less-experienced employees.


  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships and engagements with pan-HP API teams.

  • Guide HP API teams through the entirety of the lifecycle of their portfolio of APIs, including and especially the onboarding of those APIs onto the HP API Management Platform (HPAMP).

  • Lead the auditing and monitoring of APIs managed on the HPAMP to ensure and enforce compliance of required security standards and best practices.

  • Coordinate, oversee, support and prioritize the HPAMP requirements, proactively manage risk and quality issues, and help problem solve.

  • Contribute to the design, feature enhancements, and architectural improvements of the HPAMP.

  • Organize, manage and support the efforts around the HPAMP documentation, including the creation and maintenance of process documents and other knowledgebase documentation.

  • Collaboratively liaise between various HPAMP stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.

  • Prepare and present various reports and key metrics and other data relating to the HPAMP and its partner API Teams.

  • Monitor, oversee and support the HPAMP for platform entitlements and costs.

  • Manage relationships with independent software vendors affiliated with the HPAMP.

  • Stay current on the latest news, information, and trends about API and API-related technologies, methodologies, and tools.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical software program management role.

  • Preferred Certifications: PMI-PMP, PMI-ACP, Agile Scrum Master, Agile Product Owner or equivalents.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.

  • Experience with and strong understanding of multiple software applications, design tools, and languages.

  • Experience in overall architecture of software applications for products and solutions.

  • Fluency and command of the English language.

  • Experience with the following:

  • Software program/project management including requirements management.

  • Agile software development methodology.

  • APIs and tools related to API development and management.

  • Cybersecurity, especially as it relates to securing APIs.

  • Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.

  • Demonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing all aspects of programs, including communicating with stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.
