The Role
The Vice President, Digital Assets & Integration is responsible for integration and data assets across the enterprise for all application solutions, commercial/customer experience platforms, digital technologies (automation, data/integration, devops), experience related solutions and services. The VP will play a role in operationalizing data, APIs and Microservices which enable analytical insights and solution delivery. This leader will support the integration between people, processes, and products.
Establish architecture clarity as it aligns to enabling greater business value
Prioritize initiatives and projects for bridging integration and digital assets
Establish and maintain governance around data assets and integration strategies providing transparency and visibility into the movement, location and access to enterprise data assets
Lead alignment of analytics portals to build broader access to McKesson value/data
Ensure daily operations run efficiently and effectively by assuming primary responsibility for the integration of company’s digital solutions
Lead the technical architecture, design, gap analysis, development, deployment and onboarding of new digital platforms
Formulate counter measures for gaps, both strategic and operational
Define and implement a modern application integration layer which to enable processes to seamlessly flow across systems
Establish an effective enterprise architecture governance process to enable agility and speed of delivery while ensuring adherence to architecture tenets, operational excellence and security standards
Improve digital assets cross-functional content collaboration abilities for easy distribution and delivery
Responsible for defining information architectures, taxonomies, metadata schema, controlled vocabularies and other data management techniques
Leverage platform and cloud enablement to scale and improve integration operations
Influences and contributes to the overall corporate platform architecture, strategy and technology roadmap
This person will establish enterprise data distribution & integration standards and drive design, development, delivery, post-production maintenance & governance of data and exposing datasets on McKesson’s enterprise platforms
Establish, drive and lead end-to-end enterprise data platform standards, including data integration, data security and data governance with high availability, scalability and reliability
Develop solutions and implementation plans, ensure all standards, upgrades are met, managed within budget and aligned to technology deliverables appropriately
Manage deployment and inventory of end-user devices; oversee software distribution for desktops for both international and domestic offices; develop testing platforms and procedures in support of production releases
Establish and meet the annual budget for organization
Gain accuracy in forecasts & deliver projects on time and on budget, ensure ROI is in place and realized for every project approved
Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracts to procure resources and technology solutions to meet the company’s strategic objectives
Maintains strong vendor relationships to keep apprised of new products, versions and releases
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Proven track record of managing cross platform digital projects with large groups of distributed stakeholders and project team members
Strong knowledge of all phases of digital solutioning from concept to information architecture to design, development, and QA
Extensive knowledge of the asset lifecycle, taxonomy models and distribution practices
Extensive experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, master data and integration engineering
Progressive IT leadership experience across strategy development, transformation, strategy execution, and financial management
Successful experience leading significant change in complex, matrixed and regulated organizations
Demonstrated ability to modernize technology, establish successful integration patterns and use emerging technologies to address opportunities to grow the business in an organization with diversified and competing business needs
Critical Skills
Experience in developing business cases (quantitative and qualitative) to support strategic business initiatives
Experience leading and using conceptual and innovative thinking (i.e., identifying new/different technology-based solutions) to solve user issues
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field
Physical Requirements
Must have ability to travel up to 25% of the time
